The Whitby Hydrogen Village Experience centre has been a designated collection centre for toys on behalf of Stanlaw Abbey Christmas Toy Appeal

The Toy Appeal support’s vulnerable and low-income children within Ellesmere Port. Working with family intervention workers, social workers, disability team, schools and woman’s refuge, the appeal is provided with a list of families who need help to ensure that their children receive a gift at Christmas.

Children of all ages, up to 18 years-old are included in the Appeal. And the scheme supports around 1080 children and young adults each year.

Since 2014 Stanlaw Abbey have had over 8,000 presents donated by the public helping to provide presents to children who may otherwise not have received one at Christmas.

Cadent and British Gas collected 54 toys in total that catered for a range of ages.
