Healthbox CIC was founded in 2010 and has steadily grown over the last 12 years developing a portfolio of bespoke health promotion programmes, courses, training, commissioned and charitable funded projects. Their aim is to provide individuals with the chance to understand their own health and wellbeing and improve their quality of life.

Their projects and services offered are driven by their participants and deliver a broad range of health and wellbeing services. From counselling, self-care, Falls Prevention and social prescribing, to yoga, mindfulness and relaxation, schools’ health promotion and community cookery.  Every project aims to improve access to self-managed health and wellbeing by increasing activities and services in the community.

The grant will be used to widen the variety of activities available in the Healthy Families Project to encourage more partnership working in Ellesmere Port. This project focuses on working with targeted families from the local primary schools and providing bespoke healthy lifestyles support. This would include healthy eating, cooking on a budget, easy kid’s meals, getting out and active as a family, emotional wellbeing and supporting family routines.
