Established in 1986, DIAL West Cheshire aims to improve the lives of disabled people. It’s an award-winning local charity providing a range of services, including Shopmobility, which aim to enable disabled and older people to live sustained, independent lives.

The organisation is rooted in local communities, including Ellesmere Port, where DIAL combats poverty and isolation, and improves the health and wellbeing of disadvantaged people. DIAL also provides valuable employment and volunteering opportunities for people with a range of disabilities and health conditions.

The grant will go towards purchasing a new mobility scooter under the Shopmobility scheme. The Shopmobility service provides daily and longer-term hire of mobility equipment, helping to combat isolation, enabling contact with others and promoting independence.
