Over one thousand free in-home hydrogen assessments have now been completed for the Whitby Hydrogen Village programme, with Mr & Mrs Collings being the 1000th household to receive their assessment.
“This is a great milestone for the programme and we expect to have completed 1,500 assessments by the end of the month. If you haven’t booked your FREE assessment yet, give us a call, email us or come to the Hydrogen Experience Centre to book your assessment.” Said Marc Clarke, Head of Hydrogen Customer at Cadent.
The British Gas and Cadent engineers have been visiting each of the properties providing a FREE service as part of the programme, ensuring household’s gas appliances are in good working order and talking to residents about the programme to use hydrogen in the future.
Marc continued, “To date, a number of boilers and cookers have had to be replaced, customer’s appliances and pipework have also been repaired, as well as giving out CO alarms to those without them.
“We are pleased we have been able to ensure the safety of the homes in the Hydrogen Village area of Whitby, with the FREE In-Home Hydrogen Assessments.”
If you live in the proposed Hydrogen Village area within Whitby and haven’t yet booked your FREE in-home hydrogen assessment, you can do so by calling us on 0800 035 3371 or emailing hydrogenvillage@britishgas.co.uk.
